THE POWER IS YOURS
This is it... 23 August 2007.
The day that sees the end of my trainee days.
The day that signifies the end of my 'mangkok' hair days.
The day I get the power to for once, tekan mangkoks :D
The day I become a commander.
The day I become...Sergeant Zulhikam!

Haha. I'm so evil. Anyhoo, close to 6 months in the making, now I've finally earned my 3 chevrons. All those months we were made to suffer for no reason in Delta Company during BSLC. The crazy physical training conducted by Hotel Company during ASLC. Digging shellscrapes. Taiwan. Up the hill. Down the slope. 30kg fieldpacks. Suffocating sect comd bags. Freezing thunderstorms. Exhausting heat waves. The sheete we went through just to qualify for the Combat Skills Badge. Now its time to reap my just rewards!
Rehearsals for POP started in earnest a few days before the actual day. We stood for hours in the parade square, complied with "Semula's" after "Semula's". Soaked the rain for days for rehearsals, then when it came to the actual day, braved the heat. It was a proud day for us though, when our parents actually came down to ground zero and affixed the chevrons onto our sleeves. O the difficulties we had to go through just to get rid of the 'parachute' on our Corporal ranks n' gain another stripe to complete the 3 chevrons of the Sergeant rank. wahhh... siannn...
