What a game it was! Game started with only 9 of us. TKHians coming late again. Sigh! But once we were a full team, there was no stopping us! We didnt look like a team that had not played over a month! As usual, Roy was electrifying, defence was composed and Ahmad was doing his magic upfront. Sameer, was putting professional strikers to shame. It was his calling, scoring 4 goals! Zulhikam added in with a beautiful, sweet solo goal off an Ahmad through pass. I chipped in with the last goal of the game. We won, 6-1. Kudos to all, even though there were slight lapses in concentration, our team work was worth mentioning. Till next week, have a great week!

What a great game, if I do say so myself. First up, no prizes for guessing who's the 'TKHians coming late again' =) Aizad and me watched Sameer score his first goal and the opponents equalize from the sidelines. Soon after, we took to the field, with Yusri initially asking me to play upfront, before swapping me with Sameer out on the right flank. One of my first touches was to head a looping header onto the crossbar off a Roy cross, before I sliced a left-foot volley volley from a Yusri cross. A through ball from Ahmad led allowed me to run behind the defence, and looking up, I saw Sameer running to ahead to my left. A sidewards pass later, a first-time shot, and Sameer had gotten his hat-trick! Another great through pass from Ahmad soon after saw me break through behind their left-back, and seeing the goalkeeper off his line, I aped to chip the ball over him. However, seeing their centre-back about to block my shot, instead of shooting, I faked left, cut back to the right, nudged the ball forward and shoot in the bottom of the net. Alhamdulillah! In the second half I almost got my 2nd goal, but my attempted header off a Yusri inswinging corner barely missed the ball by millimetres. All in all, 1 attempt against the crossbar,1 assist, 1 goal, and 1 near-miss isn't that bad for a latecomer. Heh. The referee even complimented my dribbling skills after the game, asking if I played street soccer regularly, because my touches were good and I was very nippy. Alhamdulillah =)
