Middle of the Month, Middle of the Year (2009)!

Yes folks, its that time of the year again! Where the middle of the month, meets the middle of the year, and Hikam pops out some 23 years ago as a result of his mom meeting his dad 9 months before that! =) Alhamdulillah.

And after my surprise on Saturday, I was wondering in anticipation what was in store for me today, as SOMEONE had specifically asked me to make myself free today. But of course, SOMEONE had to disguise it by pretending to ask me if I would escort that SOMEONE to an 'event'. Sheesh.

SOOO... feeling and cheerful and happy, I decided to wear my infamous HOT PINK tee... and whaddyaknow, SOMEONE was wearing pink too! Pastel pink that is, but still PINK! What a coicidence... hee.

SOMEONE then dragged me to Marina Bay MRT.

ST.JOHN'S ISLAND!

St. John's Island. Lazarus Island. Lush, soft green grass, ringed by a golden beach, and calm waters. It looked almost Tellytubby-esque. Picnic! SOMEONE cooked! =P Watched P.Ramlee's Seniman Bujang Lapok DVD while having a picnic! On laptop. ZOMG. The unreal-ness of it all. And then and then... tak perlu tau la. (don't need to know la) HEE. Pit stop at Kusu Island, on which we spent roughly half an hour before we left for the mainland. Zounds. Today was a day of many firsts for me... =)

Went to Esplanade. Had a sit/chat session by the waterside. Given a present. Forced to open the present. Forced to utilize the present... on-the-spot. Haha. Sneaked something from SOMEONE into my present. Hopefully SOMEONE doesn't know. Heh.

Went home a Happy Man. My first chance to have a proper celebration for my birthday, in 3 years. 21st and 22nd birthday was sacrificed because of my national service commitments, spent in camp. Had to enjoy my 23rd. Enjoyed my 23rd.
