I Wanna Be With You...

Mandy Moore - I Wanna Be With You

I try but I cant seem to get myself
To think of anything
But you
Your breath on my face
Your warm gentle kiss I taste the truth
I taste the truth

We know what I came here for
So I won`t ask for more

I wanna be with you
If only for a night
To be the one who's in your arms
Who holds you tight
I wanna be with you
There`s nothing more to say
There`s nothing else I want more than to feel this way
I wanna be with you (yeah)

So I`ll hold you tonight
Like I would if you were mine
to hold forever more
And I`ll savour each touch that I wanted
So much to feel before (to feel before)
How beautiful it is
Just to be like this

I wanna be with you
If only for a night
To be the one who's in your arms
Who holds you tight
I wanna be with you
There`s nothing more to say
There`s nothing else I want more than to feel this way
(I wanna be) I wanna be with you

Oh baby
I can`t fight this feeling anymore
It drives me crazy when I try to
So call my name
Take my hand
Can you make my wish
Baby, your command?

Yeahhh
I wanna be with you
There`s nothing more to say
There`s nothing else I want more than to feel this way
(I wanna be)I wanna be with you (I wanna be with you)
I wanna be with you
Wanna be with you (Yeahhh)
(I wanna be with you)I wanna be
I wanna be with you
(I wanna be)
(i wanna be)
(I wanna be with you) Yeahh
(I wanna be with you)
I wanna be, I wanna be baby
I wanna be
(I wanna be with you)
I wanna be with you yeah
I wanna be with you

I wanna be with you

I love this song. I've been searching for this song for quite some time now, but I didn't know the title, but now, I've finally re-discovered it again. I first heard this song back when I was a 14 year old, and it was one of those songs that totally had me spellbound, just like Dreams by The Cranberries before it. Back then, I developed an instant crush on Mandy (I still do), and her soft, breathy, feminine voice had a calming effect on my male soul. She's *so* sweet. So demure, so feminine, so... vulnerable. Those fluttery eyes... those luscious, pouty lips... that slinky profile, those flowing, shoulder-length locks, that coquettish, manja demeanour... that alabaster skin, the saccharine sweet voice, the girl-next-door aura... her innocence... I used to close my eyes and just pretend she was singing it to me. Makes a guy wanna put her in my arms and just take care of her. Ahhh the dreams of teenagehood. Whenever I was feeling hyper-aggressive or found myself in a fiery situation, listening to this song never failed to soothe me, and calm me down. Such is the effect a woman can have on a man. Heh.

Similarly for Dreams. I first heard Dreams back in K2, and when the song played, a warm fuzziness came over me, and intrigued by the softness of Dolores O' Riordan's voice, I put my head next to the speakers, closed my eyes, and savoured the moment. At the age of 6, in K2! 0_0 Even to this day, the same fuzziness comes over me. I can't explain what it is that's got me fascinated by their voices, and I've spent the past few days playing this song by Mandy Moore over and over again. Can you make my wish... baby your command?
